Albanian Bicultural Worker

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The EnCOMPASS Connector program aims to support older people of CALD backgrounds and their communities to access the aged care services, and other supports available. We aim to deliver all the information in the communities’ first language.

To be specific, we provide information about aged care support options, then help older people to engage with My Aged Care and access services.

We are seeking a bicultural worker from Albanian background who can support the Coordinator with:

• Basic translation & interpretating.
• Facilitate short information sessions with senior groups of their community.
• Engage and distribute information about the support services to their community (schools, churches, mosques, pharmacies, local businesses).
• Basic tasks related to case work.

A person with strong administration skills and connection with the community is desired.
